About 12 Yards Of Christmas
Enjoy a Christmas Light Tour through Acadiana that ends with a Christmas light show featuring more than 20,000 lights! The Christmas Light Tour will start December 6th and run through December 29th. Download a map and drive by the yards throughout Acadiana that are decorated for Christmas. Use our suggested route or make your own!
Christmas Lights will be on display daily from 5:30pm – 9:00pm and will start on December 6th.
This is a whole lot of Christmas fun that doesn’t cost anything but BIG smiles!

How It All Started!!
12 Yards of Christmas is sponsored by One Church in Lafayette. A group of the congregants who love Christmas wanted to put a Christmas light tour together for the community of Acadiana. One Church also created at Christmas light show with more than 20,000 lights that dance in rhythm to a Christmas song. With fond memories of taking in the sights of houses decorated for Christmas, 12 families decided to decorate their homes for others to enjoy. 12 yards of Christmas was born. Little did they know that others in the community would quickly want to be added to the tour. By the end of the first year there were 20 houses on the tour. The second year of the tour had almost doubled. The third year there was almost 70 houses on the tour. We can't wait to see what this season's tour has instore for the community!
The goal is to help families create memories of looking at Christmas lights for years to come!!
